Pennsylvania Limited Liability Company Registered Office

Every domestic business entity in Pennsylvania is required to have a Registered Office in the state of Pennsylvania. The Registered Office is the location that is formally designated to receive "service of process", which is the technical name for being served with a lawsuit. The State requires that you keep a Registered Office somewhere in Pennsylvania, and that the Registered Office have a valid Pennsylvania address. Having a Registered Office does not mean you will be served with a lawsuit, it just provides a means of getting the lawsuit to you so you can act on it in case your Company is ever involved in litigation.
